Mr Scruff: Pickled Spider + 4h mix

Le prolifique Mr Scruff revient avec Pickled Spider, un morceau enjoué, sorte de dubstep pour balades subaquatiques. La video, minimaliste mais aussi efficace que la bande-son, est à nouveau réalisée par ses soins.

Cette collaboration avec Kirsty Almeida sera dispo le 7 juin sur Ninja Tune, en vinyle single sided.

En bonus, un mix muy caliente de 4h par le senior Scruff. Ca se passait à Brighton dimanche dernier. Une sélection parfaite pour profiter des belles journées ensoleillées :

Gotan Project: Novamix

À l'occasion de la sortie de leur 1er album en 2001, Gotan Project est venu dans les locaux de Radio Nova faire son Novamix.
On y retrouve essentiellement du très bon Gotan Project (promo oblige), saupoudré de KRS-One, reboosté par un Pépé Bradock (l'enchaînement est pourri, mais le morceau tellement bon), et une pointe de réverb' pour lier le tout. Une très bonne recette qui a mené à une sacrée découverte. Le concept est un peu épuisé depuis, mais toujours réalisé de mains de maîtres par ce trio de vieux routards.

Ron Trent & Chez Damier: RadioFG mix

Here's an oldschool house mix by legendary dj's and producers Ron Trent & Chez Damier, recorded on Parisian radio FG in 1993. Nowadays, FG sadly became a traditional radio airing bitchy eurodance and r'n'b. In the early 90's, when it still was "La radio des scotchés" (that barely means "radio for fucked up people"!), Fréquence Gaie was the first radio in Paris exclusively dedicated to technobeat & house music... and to the gay community. Listening to 98.2 was also the only way to know about parties in and around Paris. But this is another story.
